The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) recently awarded The Corps Network nearly $900,000 for its new Corps Respond Program. Corps Respond will begin October 1st and is intended to train members to prepare for, respond to, and help communities recover from emergencies and disasters and train additional volunteers.

We here at CREC are excited about this because we will be participating in the pilot progam alongside Marin Conservation Corps, Northwest Youth Corps, Southwest Conservation Corps, Vermont Youth Conservation Corps, West Seneca Service Action Corps and WSOS Quilter Civilian Conservation Corps!
