2007 YCC Season Underway!

On Monday, three CREC Youth Conservation Corps crews were unleashed on the communities of Flagstaff, Sedona, and Williams. The corpsmembers were more than ready to start work after a week of getting to know each other, being oriented to conservation work, and learning valuable field skills such as First Aid, CPR, and land navigation. To kick off the season, the Williams crew will be reporting to the Williams Ranger District of the Coconino National Forest for a week of fencing. In Sedona, the crew is cutting its trail-maintenance teeth on the Lime Kiln and Chavez Trails for the Red Rock Ranger District. And the Flagstaff crew will be helping Walnut Canyon National Monument with a large revegetation project.
Good luck to all of our members and crew mentors and have a great season!
