NACC is a feeder program for several federal agency, state, county, and public service programs.
NACC staff provides extensive support to ensure that our partners can concentrate on the development and logistics of the project.
We get the job done!
What we provide
- The recruitment and training of all Crew Supervisors and Corpsmembers
- 6-8 person crews comprised of one professional Crew Supervisor, one Assistant Crew Leader and six Corpsmembers
- Personal protective equipment - Helmet, gloves, ear protections, eye protection, chaps
- Entire crews trained in Wilderness First Aid
- Supervisors who are certified as Wilderness First Responders
- A crew 4WD vehicle, camping equipment, standard trail tool set, chain saws, grip hoist, pionjar, brush cutters, rock stretchers, herbicide equipment, saw gas and oil.
- Payroll, insurance, worker's compensation insurance, and health insurance
- Pre-site visits, and administrative support

- Forest restoration for wildfire fuels reduction and forest health
- Fence construction and maintenance
- Plant and animal habitat restoration
- Exotic plant surveying and eradication
- Revegetation and soil stabilization
- Surveying and monitoring using GPS technology
- Construction and repair of facilities and recreational infrastructure
- Burned area repair and restoration

How much does it cost?
- General Conservation Crew: $5,500/week
- Saw Crew: $6,000/week

YCC provides employment and career development opportunities for local young adults ages 15-18 while completing work that benefits the environment and our local communities.
YCC is a feeder program for the Northern Arizona Conservation Corps program (NACC).
YCC staff provides extensive support to ensure that our partners can concentrate on the development and logistics of the project.
We get the job done!
What we provide
- The recruitment and training of all mentors and Corpsmembers
- 8 person crew comprised of two mentors and six Corpsmembers
- Personal protective equipment - Helmet, gloves, ear protections, eye protection
- Entire crews trained in Basic First Aid
- A crew vehicle, standard trail tool set, chain saws, grip hoist, pionjar, brush cutters, rock stretchers
- Payroll, insurance, worker's compensation insurance, and health insurance
- Pre-site visits and administrative support

- Construction and maintenance of fences
- Restoring wildlife habitat and wildlife surveys
- Surveying and eradicating exotic plant species
- Conducting ecological testing and monitoring
