How to ApplyBenefitsYCC members are paid a stipend of $590 every two weeks, which is the equivalent of $7.25/hour. 17 and 18 year old members are also eligible to receive an AmeriCorps Education Award of $1,000 upon successful completion of their 300-hour term. This is all in addition to the training and field experience you receive along the way. You are eligible if...You are between the ages of 15 and 18. You also need to be actively working toward a high school diploma or GED. You should have an interest in the outdoors, but no experience is necessary. Successful Corpsmembers have a sense of humor, take initiative, are dependable, dedicated, flexible and adaptive, are team players able to get along well with others and thrive in diversity, like working in the outdoors, and don't fear breaking a sweat. You may sign on as an AmeriCorps member, in which case you need to meet additional eligibility requirements, primarily being a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or a lawful permanent resident alien of the United States. How to applyBecause CREC's YCC is a program of Coconino County, you will need to download two applications: Coconino County's general employment application and the YCC's supplemental application. The position you are applying for is "CREC YCC Corpsmember", the position is "Temporary", and the department is "Community Services". Please be as complete as possible on both and return them to the address below. Feel free to call or email with any questions! Posted by Matt Mrazek at 09:43:38 on 20 February 2007.
